The journey and the route
The trip is about 38 kilometres and usually takes 35 to 55 minutes. It does not cross the Bosphorus, so bridge traffic does not affect it.
Your driver picks the best route for the traffic. If a privately operated motorway is used, that toll is not included.
Arriving in Kadıköy
Most hotels and addresses in central Kadıköy, Moda, Fenerbahçe and around Bağdat Avenue can be reached by car to the door. In the pedestrian market area, your driver drops you at the nearest suitable point.
If you want to cross to the European side from Kadıköy, the ferry pier is in the centre; the historic peninsula and Karaköy are a short ferry ride away.

Other ways to get to Kadıköy
The metro runs from Sabiha Gökçen to Kadıköy without a change, but you will be moving through stations and crowds with your luggage. Airport buses also run to Kadıköy.
With a private transfer you go straight to your address with your luggage; the price per vehicle often works out well per person for families and groups.
The trip back
The trip back from Kadıköy to Sabiha Gökçen needs no bridge, so it is more predictable. Leaving three and a half hours before an international departure, and two and a half before a domestic one, is enough.
