The journey and the route
The trip is about 45 kilometres and usually takes 50 to 75 minutes. The Bosphorus is crossed by the Bosphorus (15 Temmuz Şehitler) or Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridge.
Bosphorus (15 Temmuz Şehitler) and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridge tolls are included; privately operated motorways such as the Northern Marmara Motorway, and the Eurasia Tunnel, are not. Your driver picks the best route for the traffic.
Arriving in Taksim
Most hotels around Taksim Square can be reached by car to the door. İstiklal Avenue is pedestrianised; for hotels on the avenue or its side streets, your driver drops you at the nearest point a car can reach.
In the mornings, bridge traffic runs heavy from Asia to Europe. Allow a little more time for morning arrivals; the price does not change with the hour.
